Whipped by Whitecaps in Bloomfield Indiana

Joseph M. Britton of Newark was abducted from his home by a group in Bloomfield and severely whipped by Whitecaps. He sustained injuries preventing lying down as guards protected the attackers. Mrs. Britton identified several assailants as local residents and the mob cited his liquor selling indictment.

Broken flange causes Los Banos train wreck and two deaths

Jones illness delays return of Democratic chairman
