Republican meeting at Ft Ripley sparks political theater tension
The Journal claims the Ft Ripley Republican gathering was big yet its secret membership list shows sixty names from leading local Democrats. In truth a Democratic club formed recently had only six to ten members, with some signing the roll thinking it was a road petition, while Gus Williams performs at the opera house and Keppler’s Fortunes draws praise from the Detroit Free Press for its German dialect comedy.
