Feeding Program to Start Ninth Year in McCulloch County

McCulloch County 4-H and FFA youths begin the ninth year of a commercial feeding program sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce Livestock Committee. Roy Boswell of Fort Worth will evaluate stock to set market price. Entries may include calves lambs or pigs with no entry cap. Prizes include boots jackets belts and buckles across six places. An educational trip is planned for all contestants next spring with past trips to Dallas Fort Worth and San Antonio.

Brady FFA Discusses Welcome Marker

The Brady FFA Chapter met Tuesday night with 31 members and one guest. They discussed building an FFA marker to welcome visitors to Brady, with the finance committee handling details. They will take one bus to Dallas and plan an early payment. Rural Youth Days on October 5 offer free admission for Future Farmers and Future Homemakers. Next meeting is October 8.

Stolen Car Mats and Accelerator From Wilson D. Jordan Vehicle

Deluxe floor mats from the front and back and the accelerator of Wilson D. Jordan's automobile were stolen Wednesday night. The car was parked on the north side of the First Methodist Church while Mr. Jordan attended a Sunday School class supper, and the theft occurred between 7 30 and 8 30 o clock.

Scoring Duel Looms Friday Night Between Brady Dogs and Coleman Bluecats

Friday night pits undefeated Brady against Coleman in a classic rivalry game at Coleman Stadium. The loser risks a tough setback as the teams seek to maintain perfect records. Cars Must Stop When School Buses Loading

McCulloch County motorists are reminded state law requires all vehicles to stop when meeting or overtaking a school bus loading or unloading children. A Texas Education Agency highway department and public safety campaign urges drivers to stop immediately and proceed cautiously up to 10 mph after children are received or discharged. The rule excludes city limits and certain highway configurations with separate roadways or defined loading zones.

Public Hearing For Highways At Armory

Only three people attended the National Gut Armory hearing on the proposed highway work. A second public meeting on the Deole-to-Stad project was to be held next morning. Youth Revival Ends Sunday at First Baptist Church

A youth-led revival continues at First Baptist Church through Sunday September 29 with Tommy Jones of Kentucky as evangelist. Services start daily at 7 15 am except Saturday and 7 45 pm with breakfast, college student music, and a 20-voice Latin American choir segment.
