Cancer Society Unit Elects Officers and Directors
The McCulloch County unit of the American Cancer Society organized Tuesday and elected officers Dr. Harry Priess as president Jim Harkrider as vice president Miss Hazel Harris as secretary Lewis Jordan as treasurer for one year. Directors include Mrs. Richard Moseley Mrs. Opal Browning C A Reynolds Mrs B A Hallam Jr K O Ellington Mrs Faye Underwood Dr Albert McCulloh for one year and R W Bill Jordan Dr R D Hays Rev Harry Bamberger Miss Ellen Berquist Mrs Jon Ed Weaver Mrs Terry Townsend Mr and Mrs Leon Lee Mercer Slaughter Bill Jack Neal and Hymie Myers for two years. The group adopted a constitution and bylaws. Dr Priess was elected state meeting delegate with Dr Hays as alternate. District meeting delegates for Junction on Sept 29 were Dr Priess Harkrider Dr Hays and Mr and Mrs Weaver with alternates Ellington Mr and Mrs Townsend Barry Francks and Slaughter.
