Brady ISD Trustees Set Monday Meeting Agenda

Brady Independent School District trustees will meet in regular session Monday September 13 at 7 30 p m in the school administration building. A budget hearing for 1971 72, a San Antonio workshop September 25, teacher resignation, textbook bond for the superintendent, and parking lot expansion are on the agenda along with financials and August disbursements. Brownwood Man Slightly Injured In Tuesday Mishap

Clint Edward McEwin of Brownwood was slightly injured when his car struck nine cows on the Brownwood Highway near Curtis Field. Three cows were killed. He was treated for minor facial lacerations and released from Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital.

Melvinite Honors 109th Birthday for Melvin Resident

Nicholas Ramirez of Melvin celebrates his 109th birthday Friday. Born in Mexico on September 10, 1862, he moved to the United States, settled in Brady and Melvin, worked 14 years for Jim Rice, and now enjoys gardening and TV. He married in 1915, has four children, 17 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. His wife survives, and a party is planned Saturday.
