T Formation Makes Dull Football: Game Needs Passes to Thrill Fans
The Southwest Conference faces dull football as teams rely on the T and split T formations. The article traces origins from Clark Shaughnessy to George Halas and Don Faurot, noting limited passing and reduced fan excitement. Five league teams opened with 48 passes total, 18 complete, highlighting the need for more passers to restore excitement and gate draws.
