Cotton Ginning Totals and Rainfall Hit Brady Area

The Brady area reports 63 bales ginned at two gins with 48 bales at the GBtindt Gin and 17 at T H Ker & Son Gin. Rainfall in Lovington, New Mexico caused thousands of dollars in damage Sunday night with streets flooded and highways 3 to 4 feet deep in places. Local farmers hope late cotton will improve after beneficial rains and a late frost risk. Kerrville appointees named for Houston Fat Stock Show breeding sheep and cattle divisions, with Elmo Todd assisting, as earlier county agents noted improving cattle and milo yields after recent rains.
