Huffman Services Held in Brady for Roy T. Huffman Sr
Roy T. Huffman Sr. 82 of Brady died Monday at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Brady Funeral Home Chapel with Henry McBroom officiating. Burial followed in Live Oak Cemetery. Born May 30, 1893 in Llano County, he spent 50 years in McCulloch County and was a retired stock farmer. Survivors include his wife two sons Ross Huffman Brady and Roy Huffman Jr. Houston a daughter Mrs. Robert McLean Anchorage Alaska a brother Dr James M Huffman Fort Worth four sisters Mrs Dollie Bris bane Fort Worth Mrs A C Churchill Eden Mrs Gay Carson and Mrs Lorena Poy nor Mason seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Memorials may be made to favorite charities.

Brady Texas Brady High School held an awards assembly honoring seniors and top students in each class. Valedictorian Liane Jones and salutatorian Bernice Lee Sammons were named along with high point award winner Mike Kilmer who also earned a CX Products scholarship. The Red Cross Bloodmobile visits Brady are noted with four county trips planned.

Jerrell W. McDonald, principal, released the Lohn High School valedictorian Lyla Lohn and the salutatorian and junior high honor graduates. Lyla, daughter of Mrs. Martha Lohn and Clarence P. Lohn, holds a 90.25 four year average and earned a math award, all district basketball honors, Miss LHS, and 4-H member status. She plans a nursing career after Hardin-Simmons and Baylor.

Brady rancher David T Quinn dies in early-morning crash
David T Quinn 31, a Brady rancher, died when his 1975 Vega left the shoulder and struck an oak tree on Ranch Road 42 about 3 am. He was found by a passing motorist at 4:30 am and pronounced dead at the scene. Funeral services were held at 4 pm Thursday in Brady. Survivors include his parents and two brothers.

Paul Bowman Dies Of Accident Injuries
Paul Bowman 68 of Brady died on arrival at Shannon Hospital after a one vehicle crash two miles east of Brady near U S 190. He had been listed in fair condition at Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital with multiple fractures. Burial was at Rest Born in Georgetown. He lived in McCulloch County 36 years and was a retired Higginbotham's sales manager. He attended Texas A&M and was a Trinity Methodist Church member. Survivors include his wife Ina Carlson Bowman, a daughter Jacquelyn Halverson, a son Gerald Bowman, two sisters, two brothers, and two grandchildren. The commissioners court set dates for a Board of Equalization and approved tax office staffing and insurance changes.
