Brady High School to Add Freshman Driver Education
Brady High School will include a freshman driver education course next fall after School Board approval. Thirty hours of classroom work are required, with an optional six hours of behind the wheel training offered in summer for tuition. Students completing both parts may take the state license exam. Boyd Hunt will teach the course and attend six weeks of training to qualify.

Brady High's first rated Bull dog Band performs Sunday in the BHS auditorium at 3 p.m. The program features the drum major for next year and a highlighted trombone section number. Director Boyd Hunt calls the mix operatic to rock and roll with tickets 50 cents adults 25 cents students.

The City Council promoted Bobby Spangenberg to assistant police chief and hired Joe Whitaker aged 30 as patrolman. Spangenberg has served since 1956, succeeding Golden Jones who resigned to move to San Angelo. Whitaker formerly resided in Rochelle.

Brady names Feazelle new city utilities superintendent
J C Feazelle began Monday as Brady city superintendent after managing Crosbyton utilities since 1948. He praises Brady’s utilities and friendly citizens, credits Edward Geeslin for long service, and invites public cooperation for continued progress. Brady Boosters Planned One Day Sonora Trip
A special bus will run to Sonora on Friday May 16 for Brady boosters on a goodwill tour and Jubilee booster trip. Reservations may be made with Andy Allen or Wayne Ferguson. The trip, limited to 28 seats, is organized by the Cham ber of Commerce Good Will Committee. It departs about 8:30 a.m. stops in Menard and Eldorado en route, and returns after the races.
