The Madrigal Singers from the University of Denver stopped at Brady High School on a spring tour en route to San Antonio. Directed by Roger Dexter Fee the choir planned further concerts in Dallas and other cities while Brady High showcased violin numbers by Earl Schuman, head of the university's string department.

Poultry and Dairy Teams Enter Judging Meet
Brady High School poultry and dairy cattle judging teams competed in a San Marcos FFA judging meet last Saturday under VA teacher J D Hampton. The poultry team placed fifth among individuals with Larry Smith, joined by Marion Young and Jimmy Adams. Dairy team members were Herman Hill Monroe McGuire and Gray Carruthers. Cold snap hits Brady fruit trees after early bloom
Winter returned to Brady lowering temperatures to 26 degrees and frost damaged many fruit trees in bloom. County Agent Jimmy Casenbary said the frost will likely hurt the crop, while recent showers provided some moisture for small grain. Rain totals for the county ranged from .25 to .50 inches as storms moved through, with hail reported in spots.
