Council Agrees to Provide Water For Plant Outside of City Limits
The City Council voted to lay a 6 inch water line under the Brownwood highway to serve Howard Alexander’s ready mix concrete plant just outside the city. The project will connect to the existing 4 inch main at Curtis Field, enabling future east side growth and preventing future highway cuts. Alexander, formerly in asphalt paving from Dallas, plans to also manufacture sewer tile drain tile and concrete building blocks at the plant.
