Local ranchers report rains easing drought across county
Charley Deans from Voca described a 73 year ranching career with the last five years the roughest and warned drought will wipe out weeds and grass without rain. Fife ranchers Tom Bradley and Billy Cooper noted several inches of rain easing past damage, while other farms logged inches with terraces damaged and grass returning. A Brady contingent fished in Mexico, and multiple farmers reported 1 to nearly 3 inches of rain Saturday and Sunday, with concerns about hail and wind.
