Public notice issued in Brady Texas orders Velma McLemore to appear for divorce in McCulloch County District Court. The citation, dated July 11 1955, sets appearance by 10 am on the first Monday after 42 days.
Karl K. Steffens of Brady has been named Chairman of District 22 of the Texas United Defense Fund. The state wide group will sponsor USC's campaign for 640000 in Texas this year. The district includes Concho Kimble McCulloch Mason.
John Butler of the First National Bank Midland names Steffens to lead the regional campaign for the USO. The drive aims to sustain services for military personnel nationwide as Texas coal is slated for Community Chest and United Fund inclusion.

Sgt. Matthew W. Rogers, a graduate of the Marine Recruiters School at Parris Island, has been assigned to the 12th Marine Corps Reserve and Recruitment District in San Francisco. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam E. Rogers of Brady Ohio. Prior to enlisting in June 1949, Rogers attended Delaware Willis High School in Delaware Ohio and worked for American Can Company in New Orleans.
