Buck Richards Purse and Jubilee Queen's Purse Winners
The Sunday Buck Richards Purse saw Garcia ride Standifer in the half mile in 49.1 seconds. The Jubilee Queen’s Purse was won by Mrs. Williams, a two year old owned by Morgan Williams of Stamford, with Tony Licata aboard in 37.2 for the three eighths mile. Williams claimed three additional victories in the meet. Licata’s fall in the fourth race caused excitement but he recovered to ride again. Lookout Ada, with no rider after the fall, finished second. Brady Derby saw Lookout Ada fall short of purse share. Brady owner G. R. White led in earnings, with one win, three seconds, five thirds, and three fourths from his horses.
