New Officials To Take Oath At County Courthouse

Haskell Archer 67 of Kerrville died Tuesday in San Antonio Community Hospital after a long illness. Graveside services 10:30 a m Friday at Turtle Creek Cemetery under Kerrville Funeral Home. Lifelong Kerr County resident, retired contractor, former Brady Turks baseball team member. Brady approves lowest bid for Lake Stilling Basin repair
In a special session Brady City Council accepted S. L. McAllister of Pittsburg Texas bid of 276710 for repairing the stilling basin below the drawdown tube at Brady Lake. Other bids were 320818 from Abilene Paving Co and 349675 from Seidel Inc. The project is a joint venture with the Soil Conservation Service with the city paying 35.03 percent. Work requires lake level to drop eight to ten feet and must be completed within 225 days after notice to proceed.
