Early community life and school history at McCulloch County
The narrative recalls rural life around Old Rochelle with neighbors helping each other and a small school built in 1886 by local families. It details land deeds for a school lot, the moving of the schoolhouse, multiple teachers from 1886 to 1890, expanding grades, and a long list of pupil families, illustrating community effort to educate amid desertion and growth.
