Brock Home Wins Decoration Contest in Brady
Brady Chamber of Commerce sponsored Christmas home lighting contest awards of 25 15 and 10 to the top three winners. First place went to Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Brock of 1211 S Blackburn for a blue and white nativity scene. Second went to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Grubbs of 1100 W 12th with a Santa on a rail fence. Third to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Moore of 1200 S Wall for lifelike nativity figures with lighting. Frank Roddie Jr. chaired the event and noted widespread festive displays across Brady.

McCulloch Stock Show Heads Toward 275 Entries
The McCulloch County 4 H and FFA Livestock Show will be held in Brady at Richard Park on Saturday January 14. About 170 lambs 40 barrows and 15 calves are expected with weighing in Friday and judging Saturday. Winners receive trophies ribbons and cash prizes amid high bids for all animal lots.

E Hope Allcorn 81 of Marlin died Monday after a lengthy illness. He is the uncle of J Allcorn and Mrs. Walter Bowden of Brady. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Marlin.

Jean Hemphill, 16, daughter of Mrs. Lily Hemphill of Cohn, placed first alternate in the State 4-H Record Book Contest in home improvement. She has seven years in 4-H, served as an officer and county council delegate thrice, and is a Lohn High School junior and class president. Her book won District 7 three years running and competed at state level for two years, with last year a finalist in the Government in Action Youth Tour by Mc Culloch Electric Cooperative.

Brady Housing Plans Get Preliminary Floor Approval
H E Stromquist of the Brady Housing Authority met with the Public Housing Administration and Fitch and Holcomb architects in Dallas. Preliminary floor plans and unit layouts were approved for 90 low income units—80 elderly and 10 families. Construction began after a January 1965 agreement outlining Brady's public housing project.
