Miss Vicki Harkrider promotes Explo 72, the International Student Congress on Evangelism, to be held in Dallas June 12 17 1972 with 100 000 delegates during the day in 60 80 sessions and 100 000 in Cotton Bowl at night. The City of Brady reports a total net gain of 20 858 for the year ending April 30 1971 with operating revenue 1 010 279 and expenses 989 421. Sewer and electric division led gains 130 332 while general and waterworks posted losses of 98 312 and 11 161 respectively. Electric sales topped revenue at 515 378. lake income 17 706. ad valorem taxes and licenses 100 682. Total assets reach 6 944 206 with land assets 77 655 and buildings and equipment noted.

Commissioners Set Salary For Deputy Sheriff
The McCulloch County Commissioners Court approved Jasper Williams as deputy sheriff effective Sept 1 and Williams will be sworn in then. They set the 1972 budget hearing for Sept 13 at 2 p.m. and approved the 1971 tax roll. Bonded indebtedness totals 2 995 000 with divisions in general sewer electric and waterworks. Revenue rose over last year led by general sewer and water works gains. City Supt Feazelle said the city remains in the black though circumstances could be better.

Doves Seen Sparse in McCulloch County Hunt
Local observers report a very light dove crop in McCulloch County due to heavy winter and spring weather. SCS field rep Robert L. Gober notes few doves away from sunflowers and maize, with quail abundant but not yet legal to hunt.
