30-40 Airplanes Due Sunday for Fly In Feast
Thirty to forty airplanes are expected Sunday morning at Curtis Field for a fly-in breakfast sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Leo Oates and Ed Williams co chair the project. Invites have been sent across the state. Visitors will be served at Brady Industries cafeteria. Chamber officials greet the visitors and promote Curtis Field facilities for future use.

Burglars Take $30 at Gray's Fine Foods
Burglars broke a back door glass at Gray's Fine Foods on 1112 South Bridge in pre dawn hours Sunday. They pried open a cash register taking about $30, missed $60 hidden nearby, and failed to open a second register whose contents were empty after being knocked to the floor.

Ex McCulloch Exman Dies In Auto Wreck
W B Lawrence aged 67 of Lubbock former McCulloch County resident died in a Post automobile accident while returning from Brady and San Angelo. His wife injured, he died en route to hospital after the car overturned following a wheel rim incident. Funeral held at North Side Church of Christ with burial at Rest Haven Cemetery. Survivors include wife son four daughters and several siblings and grandchildren.

Wife Joins Brady Man on Duty With Army in Germany
Army Pfc. Billy G. Boswell stationed in Itsehoe Germany welcomed his wife Mickey Jo Mills and their two month old son David Aug 10. Mrs Boswell flew from Dallas Aug 2 and joined him in Bremerhaven. Boswell, a former North Texas State College Oklahoma University and University of Texas student, is pursuing Maryland University German extension courses. The Brady School Board adopted a $480 782 budget for the 1961 62 year reflecting a rise from last year’s $428 413. A new $810 annual teacher raise, approved by the Legislature, adds about $54 000 to the increase with roughly $10 000 paid locally and the rest from the state. Brady plans $482 875 revenue and keeps a $1.50 tax rate per $100 valuation, including $1.22 maintenance and 28 cents debt service, on district valuations around $10 6 million.
