Stunt Capades Drivers Aid Auto Safety Data
Stunt Capades of 1954 features two dozen stunt performers who trained with the University of California Los Angeles on safety. Dr. Herman P. Roth and physicists studied head-on crashes to show that safety belts could cut injuries and deaths by 25 percent. A 45 mph crash exerts about 10 G's on a car occupant. The show will run 30 stunts in Brady at Jubilee Raceway, using a $100,000 fleet of 1954 Fords.
