Brady Couple Wed Quietly in Presbyterian Parsonage
Mr Willie Anderson and Miss Lillian Stromquist wed Sunday afternoon in Brady with Rev T P Grant presiding at the Presbyterian parsonage in a small relative gathering. The San Saba baseball team defeated Brady three straight games this week, 2 1, 0 3, and 3 2, with Wood Baldridge and Spiller pitching. The first bale of 1912 cotton grown in McCulloch County arrived in Brady carried by George Burns from D C Randals place weighing about 1450 pounds from Maben seed. The local gins are not ready to operate, cotton will be stored until gin readiness, and sales are expected to fetch a premium. The 1912 bale arrived a day earlier than last year’s first bale from Will Russell of Lohn community.
