Emma Maud Hipp 90 of Brady died at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home. Funeral services were held at Wilkerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Hugh McGee. burial in Voca Cemetery. Born March 17 1885 in Voca she married Henry Newton Lewallen in 1900. Survivors include six sons and two daughters.

Brady Girl Injured In Bicycle Car Collision

Becky Sue Finley a 14 year old Brady girl sustained a broken jaw and facial cuts when her bicycle collided with a car driven by Terry Lynn Harrison 28 Rochelle at the low water crossing Richards Park. The accident occurred Sunday afternoon as Finley and two friends rode north of the crossing.

Kindergarten eligibility outlined for 5 year old children

Prin Paul Huntington says any child turning five by Sept 1 1975 may attend kindergarten for half the year. Those with language or other difficulties may qualify for a full year. Sept Feb birthdays attend first semester March Aug birthdays attend second semester. Several students already screened and eligible for a full year listed. Parents must register at South Ward Elementary Aug 13 with birth certificate and health record.

Grant Aids Hallam Draw Repairs In Brady

United States Senator John Tower announced a $108000 community development grant to Brady for sewer and lift station rehabilitation and paving. City officials plan to replace 2800 feet of six inch sewer with eight inch line and rehabilitate a lift station at Bleeker and Broad Streets. About 16 blocks of curb gutter and paving are on the grant list.

Woman Injured In Collision Moves To San Angelo Hospital

Police report says a driver struck the car and fled, with the female occupant taken by Wilkerson ambulance to Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Shannon Hospital in San Angelo.
