Rainwater Tour to Bowie Ends in Domestic Comedy
In a rambling Texas letter, Jeems Rainwater describes a failed travel plan to Bowie for medical lancing, clashes with Lucindy over spitting and bathing, and a chaotic visit from relatives. He praises Bowie Clinic and Owens Brumley Funeral Home while blaming ads for stirring up household fuss and noting Shamburger Lumber Co. expansion aiding local building.
