Accidents were few during a windy sleet filled week in Bowie as high winds snow and freezing rain kept motorists off the roads. A collision at Lindsey and Nelson involved Harold Bredlow of Austin and Myrtle Cowan of Bowie causing $125 total damage and cited Cowan for failing to yield. Another crash at Wise and Smythe saw Olie Carriker’s car hit by Walter Green of Dallas with $192.32 damage and Green cited for running a red light. Later at Wise and Mill Carl Shutleff of Bowie collided with Sterling Rainbolt of Arapahoe Oklahoma causing $187 damage and Rainbolt cited for failure to yield.
