Oil Lease Fight Yields 58333 Damages In Montague Court
A district court verdict in Montague County awards Bluff Creek Oil Company 58333.33 against Whitson Company over an 87 acre oil lease dispute. The jury found the well produced oil before Whitson’s remediation, valued the lease at 50000 before casing removal, and determined the post-removal lease was worthless. Justice Louis T.
