Ideal Food Store to Sell Prize Winning Beef Here
Citizens of Bowie and the Bowie trade area may buy prize winning beef Friday and Saturday February 25th and 26th at the Ideal Food Store. The market will offer two calves that won prizes at the Clay County Livestock Show in Benrietta Moore owner and manager states the Herefords weighed 680 and 640 pounds and sold for 10 cents a pound. Weldon raised the calves as his FFA project and the cattle were dry-lot fed on a balanced ration for flavor and tenderness. Also on offer is a 250 pound hog raised by Lawrence Edgin who placed first in the District and is an FFA member.
