High Honors Won by Bowie Boy at Calf Show
Melvin Tucker of Bowie won high honors at the Montague County Calf Show held February 15 in Saint Jo. His Hereford calves claimed grand champion and reserve grand champion titles as 18 calves from 10 clubs competed. Bowie's club aided by the Chamber of Commerce helped sponsor the event, with top prizes totaling up to $10 in milk fed and $10 in dry lot classes.

New License Plates Begin Sale in Montague County
New car license plates for Montague County owners arrived at the office of County Tax Collector Bert Sledge and went on sale Monday February 10. Plates are white figures on black metal with two per vehicle and the first issued to I N Crownover of Nocona numbered BC 9950.
