Lynn Garlington announces Bowie Grocery will close March 7 for remodeling and reopen March 15 as a cash and carry supermarket with rear entrance, new shelves, self service gondolas, and updated refrigeration. Lynchers Lose JC Battle and Face Jail Friday
The Bowie Jaycees and Campbellites clash in a contest won by the Jaycees who will jail the losing Lynchers in Montague county for Friday night transport. Eleven new members join the losing side and a dozen join the winners. Victor managers are Art Lynch and Linton Campbell. A 4-H and FFA show is planned for Saint Jo in April with support requested. A Boat Show is also planned with a banquet on February 23 at Cotton's Cafe.

Two Bowie Boys Hurt in Crash
Francis Rogers and Max Alsup of Bowie were taken to the Bowie hospital after a two car crash in Montague Saturday night around 8 30. The other driver was Charles Steed of Gainesville with his brother William Steed. both uninjured though their car wrecked. Rogers suffered a dislocated vertebrae and was improving. Alsup received treatment for splinter removal. Patrolman E H Moore filed charges of failing to yield right of way against Francis Rogers.
