Commissioners Back County Auditor Benton in Unanimous Vote
Four county commissioners met Monday and voted unanimously to support Auditor C. C. Benton. They rejected an outside audit after a discussion prompted by County Judge Howard Mays. Bowie Teams Lose and Tie in Gainesville Contest
The Bowie A team fell 66 to 55 to Gainesville on Saturday night in Gainesville with Jim Higgs scoring 17 for Bowie and Bennie Carver adding 15. Forestburg Man Killed by Tractor
P. W. Ford of Prairie Point near Forestburg was killed Monday when a tractor he was operating overturned and pinned him. The 59 year old resident died near his home. Funeral services were held in Rosston. He is survived by his wife and several children.
