Pioneer Bowie Citizen Dies In Wichita Falls
W T Penn 83 longtime Bowie merchant died at 2 30 am in his Wichita Falls home. Funeral services tentatively set for Friday afternoon in Bowie. Born in Tennessee he moved to Bowie in 1881 and ran a grocery during the Chick en and Bread era. Penn moved to Wichita Falls about eight years ago. His wife Mrs Penn died in 1937. He belonged to the Methodist church and supported the Methodist Orphans Home in Waco and the Scottish Rite Crippled Children's Hospital in Dallas.
