Last rites for Gracie Fern Lancaster six were held at the First Baptist Church on December 1 at 2 00 P M with Rev. David Garlington Montague officiating Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery Surviving are her parents Mr and Mrs John L Lancaster and one sister Lois LaVerne who is attending business college in Wichita
The obituary notes a child born March 12 1938 in Jack County to Mr and Mrs Sam Lancaster of Bowie who died at their Newport area home south of Bowie. Funeral arrangements are handled by Owens Brumley Funeral Home.
Last rites for Andrew Melton Riddles, 26, were held at the Church of Christ in Forestburg on December 1 at 3 00 P M with attendees noting a solemn service and burial following at the family plot.
John Riddles of Dyemound officiated at the service with interment in Perryman cemetery. He is survived by three brothers George Castul Alvie Riddles Melvin Riddles and siblings Lizzie King and G W Castul and James E King, plus mother Donna Pierce. Born in Waurika Oklahoma he died in Decatur November 30 1944. Bowie supervised funeral arrangements.
