The Alvord National Bank in Alvord was robbed by a lone white male armed with a dark revolver on December 23, 1968. He contacted the vice president, the only person in the bank, and ordered money from the vault using grocery store style paper sacks. NTSU Grad Speaks At First Baptist Bowie Revival
James R. Patterson evangelist will preach at a Bowie First Baptist revival August 9 and 10 at 7 p m nightly. Music director Danny Vance leads the summer choir with a youth emphasis and a fellowship meeting follows the services.
