Three Bowie Men Injured in Highway Crash
J. E. Tomlinson was hospitalized in Bowie Clinic with a serious head injury and broken ribs after his coupe rear ended a parked state highway truck six miles from Bowie. He rode back from Wichita Falls with Charlie Conner, who suffered a broken collar bone and facial and leg injuries. B. D. Woodall in the truck and Altus Lindsay nearby sustained minor cuts and bruises. both Conner and Woodall were treated and released. The wreck was investigated by Sheriff Herman Chandler and motor patrolmen O. H. Shands and W. M. Howell.

Leonard Saunders of Altus Oklahoma had a frightening drive when the rear of his truck caught fire 40 miles from town on the Wichita Falls highway. He ordered his wife to jump free and steered toward Bowie where the fire department put out the flames. The damage totaled about 50 dollars.
