Former Bowie Woman Dies at Fort Worth
Elizabeth Farar Rogers died in a Fort Worth hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church with Rev. A C Turner and Rev. O P Riker officiating. Interment followed at Elmwood Cemetery. pallbearers included Henry Thomas and Joe Garlington. She was 32 years, 11 months, and 29 days old and survived by her husband J B Rogers, three children, her mother Anna Farar, two brothers Amber and Ernest Farar, three sisters Olive Valentine Nola Woolf and Lillie Clifton, and numerous relatives.

Simmons Cowboy Band Gave Concert Tuesday
The Hardin-Simmons University Cowboy Band, model Texas Centennial Exposition Band, performed at the high school auditorium Tuesday afternoon as part of an official Texas tour. Marion B. McClure conducted. G. B. Sandefer managed. Frank Junell handled publicity. The program included five band numbers, two trombone solos by Dick Gabler, flute pieces by Lucien Upsham, Arnold Marshall singing two songs, a saxophone showcase by Wilkes, Taylor, and Corminaro, and rope tricks by John Regan. The finale featured the six flags of Texas in the "March of the Flags."

One of North Texas' best rodeos will take place in Saint Jo Saturday night May 9 starting at 8 15 p m.
