Adapted Seeds Key to 1938 Farm Plan in Hancock County
Farm Adviser L L Norton says 1938 seed rules will mirror 1937 for adapted red clover alfalfa and other legumes. C R Wickard explains new seedings count toward soil building goals only if using adapted seed, with tests showing adapted varieties outperform unadapted imports, especially over winter. Red clover and alfalfa seed from the same sources used for 1937 will be considered adapted for 1938.
