The Chili Epworth League invites 2000 people to its annual picnic on Saturday August 24 with music and speeches. A two day excursion to Carthage fair is planned for August 22 and 23 with a round trip fare of one and one third.

Fairview reports W S Harper improving while Otis Bortroff from Augusta visited Louis Thompson’s family. Hog sale drew solid local turnout at Stillwell. Wheat sowing expected to be light this fall. A shower blessed the area last Saturday afternoon. Fred Dawson gave a talking machine concert to a good crowd. Services at Antioch led by Elder Vandervort scheduled for Sunday at 3 pm. Mrs Wilson Strickler and son from Missouri visiting relatives. An all day basket picnic planned at Ebenezer church with Elder Beaches expected. Baby Walter Stilwell ill but improving. Invitations issued for the marriage of Miss Ella Owen to Luther Sherick on Wednesday August 21.
