County court house project moves forward with committee

At a county board of supervisors meeting a committee was formed to study the need and advisability of a new court house. The panel found the current building inadequate and unsafe and urged a new structure costing between 125 000 and 150 000 dollars. They requested bids from neighboring towns by September, noting opposition to the high price and potential field clearing if one town bears most of the cost. War saw offers a 65 000 dollar site and building bonus but doubts remain about funding the balance. Warsaw and Carthage contenders loom if other towns abstain or withdraw.
