In Nyack New York a man broke into Charles J Harvey’s upper Nyack home through a window. The servant girl awake by noise fought off the intruder near the stairs, wrestled his revolver away, and forced him toward the door. He fled out a window as she raised the alarm, leaving no trace of him.
A severe hurricane struck Havana on Tuesday, causing massive damage across Central Park, Plaza de Armas, and the captain-general's palace vicinity.
