New York voters final city totals show Cleveland leading Blaine by 1105 after canvassing. The Board of Canvassers completed the city count for the twenty fourth Assembly district and expected adjustment once the missing district is corrected.

A 14 year old boy stripped his younger sister while her father was away in Armstrong County near Dayton and placed her on a red hot stove burning her so severely doctors fear for her life.
The Andrew Johnson of Thomaston Maine sailing from Caleta Buena to Hamburg collided with the Thirlmere from San Francisco to Queenstown. The Johnson sank with seventeen crew drowned and the survivors landed at Pernambuco while the Thirlmere arrived at Pernambuco last week damaged.

The mother cites a letter in which the daughter-in-law says she married Charlie but only for spite.
Joseph Keck, a longtime French fruit dealer in Louisville Kentucky, committed suicide before dawn. He left a note stating his daughter ran away and that he had nothing left to live for. The daughter Rose had rejected many suitors and fled to live with a saloon keeper and his dance house.
In Detroit on November 14 a Windsor Ontario couple planned suicide by river drowning. The wife died. the husband’s courage failed. He was initially charged with murder when the body surfaced but was discharged after facts emerged.
