Death of famed Magyar wild beast tamer Karolyi in Madrid
London Telegraph reports Karolyi, a renowned European beast tamer, died after a 20 foot boa constrictor tightly coiled around him during a staged performance in Madrid. The crowd applauded thinking the cry was part of the act as the snake crushed him. Post mortem revealed eighty seven bone fractures from constriction and a dislocated spine. The snake remained coiled on the body for over an hour before being drawn back to its den by a snack of nat.
