He notes over 7000 more voters in registration, two-thirds Democratic leaning, and a new ballot law promising freer votes while warning the GOP money remains a major danger.

Latrx Roew Arkansas March 18. William Curley and Ed Snow, hermits of Prairie county, died within days of each other after 80 years as recluses. Snow fell sick and died. Curley nursed him before pining away. After Snow's death Curley wept and wished to join his friend, dying and being buried beside Snow.
Washington March 16 Senate foreign relations committee held a routine meeting on Behring sea matters with no action or information before it. Members said they had heard nothing about a reported Russian protest regarding ratification of a convention to arbitrate the title of property bought from Russia, and they found no foundation for the story.
Ottawa reports acting customs minister Bowell telegrammed British Columbia quarantine officials to join future rules on American cattle imports. A 90 day quarantine would largely halt the business. Victoria and Vancouver depend on U S beef. BC members opposed but Premier Abbott would not rescind.
