Philadelphia March 20 workmen clearing a grain bin at the Pennsylvania railroad depot at Thirtieth and Market streets found a dead boy about 15 smothered in grain. He wore neat clothes and dark complexion. A thin pocket contained several letters addressed to William Ryan St Peter’s College Jersey City. Police suspect the boy ran away and hid in a grain car then was dumped into the bin.
Allen Robinson, two years old from Pictou Nova Scotia, visited the Eastern railroad station last evening seeking a ticket home. A stranger offered him 105 dollars for each dollar in his pocket promising six percent interest, and the boy surrendered $22. The incident ends with the boy awaiting the return of his supposed benefactor.
Mrs Theophilus Youngs a Boston figure in a long running property dispute dies at Oxen Run Washington suburb from heart disease. The deceased had maintained her husband was dead while his supporters contended he lived and produced a man in a New York court claiming to be Theophilus. The case remains unresolved.
A Washington clerk in the post office department described herself as the only woman admitted to Masonic mysteries and boasted of military service during the Civil War. She claimed leadership of a Christian commission branch and counted among her friends many notable Masonic brethren. She leaves two daughters, one by a first husband Colonel Miller and another by a man named Yoongs whose identity has been widely discussed.

Two reliefers reached Kubour after fourteen days of hardship. Melville believes the party rests north of the Lena between Sister Anoneck and Buiour and seeks permission to organize search parties.
Louis J Neros, one of two men who last saw Captain De Long alive, writes from Yakutsk that the Jeannette was crushed in 1881 and the crew, thirty three left on the ice, endured weeks of hunger. He describes sled travel, freezing feet, one death on shore, and a search by Engineer Melville, Wiliam Ninderman, and Bartlett for remains and ship papers. The remaining ten will sail to the United States as they press onward toward civilization.
An intoxicated wagon driver misread the road and rode onto a trestle near Cortland on the Delaware Lackawanna & Western line. He alerted Cortland and Homer operators, enabling a 7:10 Syracuse train to proceed slowly and avoid tragedy. The driver was later found asleep beside the tracks.
Whelan declared adjournment as uproar rose and pistols were drawn. Fred P Smith was arrested with a pistol, Ann thone Dunn was jacked up, and no other arrests were made. Morris was elected president as Democrats claimed a legal gathering. Republicans were absent. The affair created great excitement.
In Eastrort Maine on March 20 a confirmed report states Mrs Hattie Sprague was killed by Chester Cunningham after meeting her with his cousin Dunningham. Cunningham chased and wounded Sprague in the street with a knife. he is captured and held in custody, likely to be sent to Machias.
March reports from Lawrence detail a 350 weaver strike at the Central Pacific worsted mill culminating in a walkout after loom shutdowns. By March 20, 1600 weavers refused to work over pay cuts, pattern changes, and loom demands, with 1000 looms planned shut down and spinners affected at multiple mills. Fall River spinners at Merino mill, few in number, were discharged after walking out on St Patrick's Day.

In St Joseph Missouri Nicholas Kell aged 165 Allen Rhodes aged 9 Randall Montgomery aged 8 John Montgomery aged 14 and Michael Garrish were buried when a sand bank cave collapsed where they played. They had been missing since Thursday and were found by searchers Friday.

Owen & Co carry liabilities around 76 000 dollars against a small surplus.
Laredo reports on March 8 the first railway train crossed the Rio Grande into Mexico amid ceremony. General Sherman and friends were aboard as Mexican and American flags waved. salutes rang out and music played before a reception on the Mexican knoll.
Six months after the death of Mr. Joan Bunger a fine English setter owned by Diu was given to a city gentleman by his widow. The dog was sent to the Central railroad's care, escaped its kennel, walked to the tracks, and was run over by an engine, dying from grief.
Detroit March 20. The foulest murder in Bay county history occurred near Bay City. Tom Michie post master at Michie and a hotel proprietor was found skull crushed with pockets rifled. He has relatives only at Forfar Scotland. Murders yet undiscovered. Iona county agitated over alleged murder by his young wife of John Van Siyck a wealthy elder resident. The Towers] case is under investigation.
The Fairfield Recorder reports the suit W E Bonner versus L B Prater and others over a mortgaged mule. After speeches the jury could not agree and were split. Rather than discuss points, jurors matched dollars to decide who should have the mule, yielding a verdict for the defendants.
A hand car on the National railroad in Mexico carrying James Pyett and three Mexicans was hurled from the track when a man lying between the ties toppled the car. The vehicle and three men were buried in a deep chasm. All four victims died, and the man who caused the accident died shortly after.
One hundred packages of first quality Holstein butter arrived on the Circassian last week at New York and sold from forty five to forty six cents per pound. Merchants say the import may not become regular due to limited profitability except during periods of high American butter prices.
In New York on March 20 the Youngs family members concede that the Theophilus Youngs produced in court is genuine. Among admitters are Mrs Richard Goddard, the mare Tied daughter of the Youngs, her husband Mr zoeenh Hourie, Mrs Youngs' brother and Mrs aure.

Troy residents recount a disorderly Common Council meeting with Aldermen Whelan and Morris asserting leadership on the platform. Morris attempted to start the session. a clerk refused the roll call, a quorum failed, and Morris was detained by a detective while trying to leave the chamber.
Michael Kennedy, a 60 year old prominent citizen, has lived sixty three days on milk alone to cure diabetes. He claims strength has improved and his weight has changed from 242 to 21144 pounds while continuing regular business in Troy, N. Y. on March 20.
