Italians Hold Big Celebration in North End

The Little Italy section of the North End hosted a large feast of the M. SS. Addolorata Dei Sette Dolor with open houses in private homes and many banquets in dining rooms. A big parade added to the festive day's events.

Double Wedding for Twin Sisters

Twin sisters Hazel Wilde and Flossie Wilde of Jamaica Plain are to be married today in a double ceremony at St Andrews Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Raupach officiating. The brides will live at 83 Johnswood Road Roslindale and travel together. Hazel weds Neil Crocker, a civil engineer, and Flossie weds Harold de Vere, an auto department manager in Roslindale.

Coasting auto stops riders in New Hampshire

In Derry on September 28 Patrick Fox and Phillip Connolly of Manchester were thrown from a car during a downhill coast. The machine halted suddenly causing all five riders to be pitched out. Fox and Connolly were rendered unconscious.

Body of Sailor Recovered Off Charlestown Bridge

Harbor police found the body of Lawrence Penteney of Philadelphia, a sailor aboard the barge Horace A. Allyn, shortly after 11 yesterday morning off the old Charlestown bridge. He had drowned Thursday morning.
