Will of Mrs Potter Leaves $1.145 Million to Charities

Mrs. Sarah E. Kempton Potter of 284 Commonwealth avenue died last Friday. Her will filed in Cambridge Probate Court leaves $1,145,000 to numerous charities and public institutions. The bequests include Boston Medical Library 150,000, Harvard 80,000, Children’s Hospital Boston 25,000, New Bedford hospitals 55,000, and many other local and regional organizations totaling the sum. Potter, widow of Warren Potter, was born in New Bedford in October 1824.
