City and state officials will pay last tribute to Postmaster William Murray. His funeral will be at 9 o clock in St Marys Church Charles town. The post office building will close at certain hours except Weather Bureau and clerks offices to honor the late post master.
The Democratic nomination for Governor is a three cornered fight among Gaston Long and Barry. Republicans run Cox against am for Lieutenant-Governor and include district races Gallivan Curley Fitzgerald Tague Quincy Horgan Attwill Allen in broader contests. The principal interest centers on the gubernatorial race in Boston as a large turnout is expected from sharp congressional battles.
Ottoman forces routed in Palestine with about 25 000 prisoners and 260 guns seized. Sultan's troops nearly out of the war. In Macedonia, 10 000 prisoners captured as Allied forces press a sweeping rout.
