International Mercantile Marine Company will replace the Arabic and Cymric in Boston with Cedric and Celtic type boats. Hamburg American line also to provide first class passenger service in Boston.
The Hamburg American line will soon deploy two 18000 ton twin screw steamers the President Lincoln and President Grant to boost Boston as a world seaport. Each ship 616 feet long 6812 wide carries 250 first and second cabin passengers with steel construction watertight compartments and electric ventilation.
