Gasolene Blast Injures Two In West End Fire
A bas ement explosion at 11 Hale Street West End burned Mrs. Jacob Messenger and Samuel Shenker. Mrs Messenger suffered severe leg burns as Shenker sustained serious hand burns while trying to douse the flames. The blaze occurred during a gathering in a six story brick block. The stove gasoline ignited, setting skirts and clothing alight. Shenker protected Mrs Messenger and stayed at the scene until danger and damage were cleared. Property loss reported as unspecified.

Sylvania Arrives at St Vincent With Leaky Boilers

In Manila Sept 22 Agninaldoa bodyguard Major Alhambra and 29 men with 28 rifles surrendered. Twenty United States infantry troops yesterday took the oath of allegiance and were released.
