Maine Officials Adjourn After Doubt Over Prohibition Vote
Augusta Maine September 19 After tabulating returns from last week’s special election the Governor and Council adjourn to September 28 to consider corrections. Doubt remains over the repeal of the constitutional prohibition amendment with 60 487 for repeal and 60 461 against. Majority for other questions also reported but subject to possible corrections. Attorney General Pattangall and county officials discussed discrepancies in Porter Athens and Westfield.
