Mutiny Among Eleventh Regiment at Prospect Park
The Eleventh Regiment mutinied during brigade drill after a member of Company I was placed under arrest. Brig Gen Funk formed a square as prisoners were rounded up and held, with 106 captured and about thirty escaping. Police aided as the march advanced to the Arsenal and several guards were wounded in pursuit. The mutineers were detained pending Governor’s ruling.
