Electric cable road agitation revived in South Framingham

A Sept 17 South Framingham dispatch reports renewed push for an electric cable line to connect South Framingham with Framingham Centre. The Suspension Transportation Company of Boston, after abandoning the Union avenue route due to shade tree damage, prepares a second survey likely to be discussed at a local hearing. The proposed line would start near the Common, run along Franklin street past Harmony Grove to Lake street, cross several estates, partly on the old Agricultural branch path, reaching Central square in Framingham Centre. The new route totals about 1 1/2 miles less than the current path. Some prominent citizens still support a horse railroad option.
